Pink Spider

For those both new and old in Visual Kei, Hide Matsumoto is a name that you will know well. Known mostly as 'hide', or as the Pink Spider, he is one of the most influencial guitarists of the scene. In a tragic turn of events hide passed away in 1998 on the 2nd of May. Though in the UK it is just the first, Japan has already entered this day, and so it begins to pass around the world. Our thoughts go out to everyone, for he has touched many lives. It has been 17 years, yet the X Japan guitarist is far from forgotten.

In rememberence of one of his best friends, Yoshiki has uploaded a couple of videos from X Japan's last live. We hope that these help you remember him fondly. And for those of you new to the scene, we hope they show off his talents (and hair).
